Wisconsin 3-year-old’s missing blanket discovered nearly one month later

Almost a month after the disappearance of 3-year-old Elijah Vue from Two Rivers, Wisconsin, a key piece of evidence has been discovered: his red and white plaid blanket. The blanket, believed to have been with Elijah at the time he went missing, was found on Goodwin Road, nearly 4 miles from where he was last seen. Two Rivers Police Department Chief Ben Meinnert confirmed that the blanket indeed belonged to Elijah, marking a significant development in the ongoing search for the missing toddler.

Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, and the man responsible for his care at the time of his disappearance, Jesse Vang, have both been charged with child neglect. Baur told police she left her son with Vang to teach him a lesson but planned to pick him up nearly two weeks later. Vang called police to report Elijah missing after waking up to find him gone, denying any involvement in his disappearance. Despite the charges against them, both suspects maintain their innocence.

As authorities continue their search for Elijah, the public is urged to assist by checking urban and rural areas for any signs of the missing toddler or evidence related to his disappearance. The reward for information leading to Elijah’s discovery has increased to $40,000, with police examining various pieces of surveillance footage in hopes of uncovering more clues about the case, including images of a specific vehicle linked to the investigation.
