Top Third-Party Apps Optimized for Apple Vision Pro

Developers are currently getting ready for the release of the Apple Vision Pro by prepping their apps for the mixed reality headset, with approximately 250 apps that natively support visionOS having been submitted to Apple so far. Technologies such as “spatial” design elements and immersive features will allow apps to take full advantage of the headset’s capabilities. The apps that will natively support visionOS at launch include a variety of popular third-party apps like Airmail, Box, CARROT Weather, Fantastical, and many others, according to data compiled by app analytics firm Appfigures.

In addition to third-party apps, several Microsoft apps, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, will be available at launch, with more than one million apps expected to be accessible on the Vision Pro. Furthermore, entertaining apps such as Disney+, ESPN, NBA, MLB, PGA Tour, and others will be offered on the Vision Pro, providing users with a range of engaging content to enjoy. Despite this, it appears that some apps like Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, and Meta-owned apps may not offer Vision Pro apps at launch, but users can still access these services through Safari.

As the release date for the Vision Pro approaches, developers still have time to prepare their apps, so it’s likely that more compatible apps will become available before the launch. With the Vision Pro set to offer a broad range of apps covering various categories, users can anticipate an immersive and diverse experience with the headset.
