A shocking incident in San Jose led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man, Louie Juarez Jr., who was accused of placing a hidden camera in a Starbucks restroom. The camera captured dozens of victims, including juveniles, over a single day in January. Juarez was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and installing a hidden surveillance camera with audio.
During a search of Juarez’s home, detectives discovered approximately 20 guns and miscellaneous micro cameras. The firearms included high-capacity magazines, an assault rifle, and an unregistered gun. The extent of the hidden camera operation was revealed when it was reported to police on January 31 at a coffee shop on Coleman Avenue. The camera was hidden beneath the restroom sink facing the toilet, filming over 90 victims ranging in age from 4 to 85.
The victims, unknowingly filmed while using the restroom, were captured on camera from approximately 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on January 30. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone who believes they may have been filmed or has information about the case to come forward.
