Published on

In Brooklyn, a tragic series of events unfolded when 20-year-old Nathan Scott was shot and killed by police officers after chasing a mugger who had stolen his wallet. Scott was seen firing at the couple who had taken his wallet, leading to a confrontation with law enforcement. Despite the man who stole his wallet later confessing to the crime, the situation escalated quickly, resulting in Scott’s untimely death.

The fatal shooting took place on East 57th Street and Linden Boulevard in East Flatbush, with officers responding to reports of gunshots in the area. Scott was shot multiple times by the police and later succumbed to his injuries at Kings County Hospital. The incident is currently under investigation to determine whether the officers followed proper protocol in using deadly force. The couple who stole Scott’s wallet escaped unharmed, and no charges have been filed against anyone involved in the incident.

Witnesses captured the chaotic scene on a porch security camera, showing Scott chasing the couple and firing shots before being shot by the officers. The video also depicts the officers yelling at Scott to stay still as he lay on the ground, adding to the tense situation. The officers involved in the shooting were part of the Brooklyn South community response team and were assisting the 67th Precinct at the time of the incident.
