Lauren Apolito has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at Rumblefish, a subsidiary of SESAC Music Group. Apolito played a key role in transforming Rumblefish’s rights management service and establishing partnerships with consumer media brands. In her new position, she will expand her portfolio to strengthen relationships with businesses that can benefit from SESAC’s Licensing and Administration Services. Michael Simon, President of HFA and Rumblefish, commended Apolito’s leadership in driving revenue growth, client diversification, and new service offerings.
Apart from her role at Rumblefish, Apolito is described as an influential figure in the industry and serves on the Advisory Board of Women in Music. Prior to working at Rumblefish, she held positions as an international banking executive. Rumblefish, acquired by SESAC in 2014, provides music licensing services and ensures proper management and distribution of rights and royalties. The company has formed partnerships with companies such as 7digital, Facebook, and Pinterest.
SESAC continues to expand its offerings through acquisitions. It acquired the Harry Fox Agency in 2015 and recently added AudioSalad and Music Services to its portfolio. Investment giant Blackstone Group acquired SESAC in 2017.
