Honda has released more details about its all-electric Prologue SUV, which is set to be available in early 2024. The vehicle will have a listed range of 300 miles and an expected starting price in the upper $40,000s. This pricing puts it above rivals like the Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Mustang Mach-E. However, the Prologue’s range falls short compared to the Ioniq 6 and Hummer EV.

The Prologue is built on the GM Ultium EV architecture, which is also used for vehicles like the Chevy Blazer EV. It features an 85-kWh battery pack that applies to both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. The estimated range of 300 miles applies to the 2WD variant, while the range of the AWD version is still unknown. The AWD version is expected to generate 288 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque.

In terms of features, the Prologue has a longer wheelbase than the Honda Pilot and offers spacious seating for five people. It supports standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and includes an 11-inch instrument display with an 11.3-inch HD infotainment screen. Honda is also offering different charging packages for buyers to choose from, including home charging stations, portable charging kits, and public charging credits.
