The Hearthstone clock in the sky is about to herald the beginning of a new year of Hearthstone, known as the Year of the Pegasus. The year-long celebration will honor Hearthstone’s past and future, featuring expansive giveaways, in-game events, a Core Set update, and the introduction of three lively card set expansions. Additionally, one of the highlights includes the launch of Battlegrounds Duos, which will bring a cooperative experience to Hearthstone where players can work together to build up each other’s boards.
The iconic Core Set update is a major highlight of the Year of the Pegasus, bringing back several iconic cards from Hearthstone’s history. In addition, by logging in, players will receive 12 extra special card grants, including “Gift” cards for each class and the legendary figure, Harth Stonebrew. There will also be in-game anniversary rewards, including completing the Event Rewards Track to earn Golden versions of all the “Gift” cards, as well as a special Birthday Coin.
Moreover, as part of the celebration, there will be opportunities to play through Hearthstone’s entire history in Twist, offering a walk through memory lane for the game’s long-time fans. And to cap off the celebration, Hearthstone’s anniversary will be marked with the release of the Hearthstone: Music from the Tavern album, featuring over 30 in-game tracks. Additionally, World of Warcraft is joining the festivities, with special in-game events and rewards for Hearthstone players. These celebrations are only the beginning of what’s to come throughout the year in Hearthstone.
