Automatic Hair Detangling: Eufy’s X8 Pro Robot Vacuum Delivers Unmatched Performance

Anker’s Eufy division has released a new robot vacuum cleaner, the Eufy Clean X8 Pro, which boasts more powerful suction and the ability to automatically detangle hair and pet fur from its brush. Priced at $649.99, the vacuum is available for purchase on Amazon and includes advanced features such as infrared laser navigation, AI home mapping, self-emptying capabilities, and basic mopping. The X8 Pro is an upgraded version of the 2021 X8 Hybrid, offering Twin-Turbine 2.0 motors with 4,000 Pa of suction each, compared to the 2,000 Pa of the previous model.

One noteworthy design change in the X8 Pro is the location of the side brush, which is now located on the front-right of the robot. This allows dirt to be pushed directly into the V-shaped roller brush, guiding debris into the suction path. After cleaning, the X8 Pro can spin its roller brush in the opposite direction to disentangle hair and pet fur with the help of an integrated comb. Moreover, the vacuum features a larger air duct, an oversized air filter, and increased debris pickup capacity.

The docking station of the X8 Pro is equipped with a large dust bag capable of holding up to 45 days’ worth of dirt collection. It also includes a triple-filtration system that effectively seals 99.9 percent of dirt during the collection cycle. Although the X8 Pro does not have rotational mops like the X9 Pro, it can still be used for general cleaning with its bottom fabric. Eufy plans to update the X9 Pro by the end of September with additional features such as new edge-hugging deep-mopping capabilities, water-level detection, and smart no-go zones, which are currently available to beta testers. The Clean app allows users to manually run detangling cycles, view home maps, and program cleaning cycles for specific rooms and areas to avoid, aligning with the expectations of Roomba owners.
