Arceus and Manaphy to debut outside of Go Tour: Sinnoh in dedicated space.

Niantic has recently revealed that the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh event will not include Arceus, Manaphy, or Phione despite their importance in the Gen IV games. The in-person event, Go Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles, will boast nearly every Pokémon from the Gen IV games, including Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in special event raids. The absence of Arceus during this event aligns with Niantic’s strategy of stretching out new Pokémon releases and giving each Pokémon its own dedicated space to shine without being bundled into something else.

The decision not to include Arceus, Manaphy, or Phione in the Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh event is a deliberate move by Niantic to avoid overwhelming the event with too much featured content. With Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia as the new headliners of the event, Niantic aims to give each Pokémon a proper spotlight instead of bundling them together. This decision is in line with the company’s usual strategy of spreading out new Pokémon releases across different events, especially important ones like Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.
Despite their absence from the upcoming event, there is still hope for the appearance of Arceus, Manaphy, and Phione in future Pokémon Go events. Given the theme of this season, “Timeless Travels,” and the uncertainty surrounding Go Fest 2024, there remains a possibility for the literal God of Pokémon to make an appearance soon, potentially accompanied by Manaphy and Phione.
