Apple confirms iPhone 15 Pro’s Titanium Frame doesn’t cause overheating

Apple has announced that it will release an iOS 17 software update to fix the overheating issue on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company clarified that the problem is not related to the titanium frame of the devices and that the design does not contribute to overheating. Apple stated that some third-party apps, including Instagram, Uber, and Asphalt 9: Legends, have overloaded the A17 Pro chip for unknown reasons. It assured users that the bug fix will not reduce the chip’s performance and that long-term performance will not be affected.

According to Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max overheating issue will be addressed through an upcoming iOS 17 software update. The company emphasized that the problem is unrelated to the devices’ titanium frame and denied any design-related contribution to overheating. Instead, Apple identified certain third-party apps, such as Instagram, Uber, and Asphalt 9: Legends, as the cause of the issue.
