Amazon has progressively lowered the price of Apple’s latest MacBook Air. After reducing the price of the 13-inch base model to $939 on April 22, the retailer further discounted the device within 24 hours. Currently, the midnight black version is priced at $911.42, nearly $88 below its regular MSRP, while other color variations are available for $912. For those preferring a larger screen, the 15-inch version is offered at $1,117 in starlight and silver, reflecting an $82 discount from the original price of $1,199. Both models include 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage, with the 15-inch model featuring a slightly higher resolution and two additional speakers.
Apple introduced its M4 MacBook Air update in mid-March, adding support for two external displays, a new 12MP Center Stage camera, and an upgraded CPU. After reviewing the 15-inch model, Stan Schroeder from Mashable described it as “impressively powerful” and “the best-buy Apple laptop, period.” It has been previously recognized as the best MacBook for most people, and the 13-inch model is anticipated to be named the top budget MacBook.
Purchasing the M4 MacBook Air from Amazon currently means obtaining it at its lowest price to date across any retailer. Though B&H Photo offered the sky blue 13-inch model for $912, Amazon remains more competitive for other configurations. The Apple Store provides a $100 discount for college students and educators, but this offer is not broadly applicable.
In contrast, the M4 MacBook Air remains at full price at Best Buy.
