Tesla Cybertruck faces stop-sale due to unintended acceleration, report claims.

Published on

Tesla has reportedly issued a stop-sale order for new Cybertrucks to address a serious problem with the truck’s accelerator pedal that could lead to unintended acceleration. Several forum and social media posts have surfaced discussing this issue, prompting Tesla to take action. The problem stems from the metal cover of the accelerator pedal not being securely attached, causing it to get wedged and push the pedal down, resulting in the truck accelerating at full speed.

Due to this accelerator pedal issue, many upcoming deliveries of Cybertrucks have been delayed or canceled. Even prominent figures like Elon Musk and Tesla’s biggest fans have acknowledged the problem and confirmed the halt in Cybertruck deliveries. A TikToker provided a detailed explanation of the issue, emphasizing the potential safety concerns of the accelerator pedal becoming stuck and causing the truck to accelerate uncontrollably. Despite efforts to address the problem, this incident adds to a series of reported issues with Cybertrucks, underscoring the need for effective quality control measures in Tesla’s manufacturing process.

In addition to the accelerator pedal concerns, Tesla has informed Cybertruck production workers in Austin that their shifts will be shortened starting April 15. This news comes amidst ongoing reports of various issues with the Cybertruck, suggesting that Tesla may face further challenges in ensuring the reliability and safety of their vehicles. As Tesla addresses the current accelerator pedal problem, customers and industry observers will be closely watching to see how the company handles this setback and works to enhance the quality of their flagship electric truck.
