Taco Bell is embracing nostalgia by reintroducing fan-favorite menu items from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and beyond. This initiative, named the Decades Menu, will feature five classic items available for a limited time, akin to the approach taken by Taylor Swift with her Eras Tour, which is currently concluding.
The first four menu items will be available starting October 31, with a final item being introduced just before Thanksgiving.
1960s – Tostada: Originating from Taco Bell’s first walkup location in Southern California in 1962, this tostada features a shell topped with refried beans, red sauce, lettuce, and shredded cheese, priced at $2.19.
1970s – Green Sauce Burrito: Known for its popularity among culinary enthusiasts attempting to replicate it, this burrito includes refried beans, onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and a green sauce comprising green chili, tomatillos, jalapeño peppers, and spices. It is priced at $2.49.
1980s – Meximelt: A classic from the ‘80s, this item contains freshly prepared pico de gallo, a blend of three cheeses, and seasoned beef wrapped in a tortilla, available for $2.99.
1990s – Gordita Supreme: Featuring seasoned beef, reduced-fat sour cream, lettuce, a three-cheese blend, and diced tomatoes wrapped in flatbread, this item is priced at $2.99.
- 2000s – Caramel Apple Empanada: Making its debut on November 21, this dessert includes apple pieces and caramel, with a price of $2.99.
To complement the dining experience, similar to the souvenir items from Swift’s tour, Taco Bell will offer plastic drink cups featuring the company’s logo from each represented decade. Additionally, fans can purchase hoodies adorned with these logos to showcase their brand loyalty.
