Shares of SpiceJet rose by 4.2% to their highest point of the day at 59.29 on the BSE following the company’s announcement of the addition of 32 new flights to their winter schedule. This expansion aims to improve connectivity and offer travelers more options. Out of these new flights, 30 will operate within the domestic sector while two will provide daily non-stop service from Delhi to Phuket.
According to the company’s filing with the exchanges, the winter schedule introduces several new routes. These include flights from Mumbai to Patna, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Goa. The airline will also connect Patna to Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Bengaluru, as well as offer services from Chennai to Port Blair and Pune, from Delhi to Phuket and Amritsar, and from Kolkata to Port Blair. The winter schedule commenced on October 27.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, expressed delight in announcing the network expansion featuring 32 additional flights. This initiative demonstrates their commitment to providing seamless connectivity, affordable air travel, and an enhanced customer experience. The improved schedules and increased frequencies aim to offer greater reliability and convenience, ensuring efficient travel for passengers.
Maharshi added that as the airline continues to grow its fleet and operations, more flights will be introduced in the coming weeks. This growth reflects the company’s ongoing journey toward a more robust fleet and enhanced service delivery.
In the past year, shares of SpiceJet have increased by 22.2%. However, there has been a 2% decline in the shares since the beginning of the current year.
