Consumers who have purchased 5in1 Rocker Bassinets have been warned to stop using the product due to safety hazards for infants. The bassinets do not meet the safety requirements set by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), specifically the Infant Sleep Products Rule. The bassinets pose a risk of suffocation and have a fall hazard. The company responsible for distributing the product, Rev Grace Import, Inc., is not cooperating with the CPSC recall and has not offered any solution to consumers. The bassinets were sold online at websites like Walmart.com and do not include the necessary markings, labeling, and instructions.
The CPSC urges consumers to immediately disassemble and dispose of these bassinets. While the safety requirements apply to products manufactured after June 23, 2022, the CPSC is calling on companies to stop selling noncompliant products produced before that date. Parents are also advised to follow safe sleep practices for infants, including placing them on firm, flat surfaces without blankets, pillows, or stuffed animals. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that parents sleep in the same room as infants for the first six months but should not cosleep or bedshare with them. Any incidents of injury or defects related to the 5in1 Rocker Bassinets should be reported to the CPSC through SaferProducts.gov.
