Sony has announced an additional seven games that will be enhanced for its PS5 Pro, set to release on November 7th. This follows the earlier revelation of enhanced games for the upgraded console. The newly confirmed titles include Stellar Blade, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, F1 24, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
With these additions, the confirmed lineup for the PS5 Pro now comprises 20 enhanced games.
Although initial details from Sony’s YouTube livestream were scant, further information has confirmed that the PS5 Pro will offer noticeable graphical improvements over the original PS5. This is particularly significant for games that experienced limitations on the original console, such as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
The enhanced performance of the PS5 Pro, including additional processing power and AI-enhanced "PSSR" upscaling, is expected to eliminate the need for players to choose between a smooth 60 frames per second and high detail levels. This hardware improvement aims to deliver both high resolution and high frame rate modes concurrently.
Sony has not yet disclosed the specific resolutions or frame rates for these enhanced games. However, it anticipates that 40–50 games will have PS5 Pro patches available by the time the system launches. The PS5 Pro will also be compatible with PS4 and PS5 titles that have not been patched, with some possibly benefiting from a Boost Mode for improved performance.
