The upcoming tenth season of Overwatch 2, set to begin on April 16, will introduce a new non-binary damage hero named Venture to the roster. This hero, who was in a test phase last month, is a drill-based brawler and will be the highlight of season 10, aptly called Venture Forth. In addition to Venture, a special limited-time event called Mirrorwatch will take place from April 23 to May 13, where Blizzard will reimagine iconic heroes as villains and vice versa.
During the Mirrorwatch event, players can expect Tracer, Reinhardt, and Brigitte to receive skins representing members of Talon, Overwatch’s antagonistic organization. Conversely, Doomfist, Widowmaker, and Sombra will sport skins in the iconic blue and white colors of Overwatch. This event will also feature a PvP mode where these remixed teams will battle each other, resulting in changes to certain abilities in each character’s kit. Furthermore, Mercy will receive a unique customizable Mythic Skin known as Vengeance Mercy, portraying her as a Talon agent and showcasing a different side of her character.
Additionally, Blizzard is running a short trial of the new Clash mode, announced at BlizzCon last year, from April 16 to 29. Players will have the opportunity to try out the new Hanaoka map, which reimagines the Hanamura map from the original Overwatch for a different game type. Season 10 marks significant changes for Overwatch 2, with all heroes, including Venture, being free to all players and previous Mythic Skins becoming unlockable through a new tab in the store. However, there is still no update on the highly anticipated story missions for Overwatch 2.
