On Friday, two federal judges issued temporary blocks against executive orders from President Trump aimed at the major law firms Jenner & Block and WilmerHale. These orders are part of the Trump administration’s efforts to limit the involvement of law firms perceived to be connected with political adversaries and critics, thereby restricting their access to the federal government. Judge John D. Bates, along with another judge, played a key role in this decision.
