However, an unofficial fan project called RELB is now striving to revive LawBreakers, offering players the opportunity to experience the game once again after six years.
Boss Key Productions’ team acknowledged LawBreakers’ inability to sustain itself due to a lack of audience, leading to the eventual closure of the studio after the launch of their battle royale game, Radical Heights. Cliff Bleszinski recently announced through his official X/Twitter account that LawBreakers is on the brink of a comeback thanks to the efforts of the RELB project. This fan-made launcher allows players to access LawBreakers through Steam, participate in online multiplayer matches, and has conducted successful stress tests in various regions. Despite encountering some issues with matchmaking and hit registration, the RELB team remains optimistic about the project’s future and is determined to refine the gaming experience for players.
RELB admin Red expressed gratitude towards the team and server hosts for their contribution to the project’s success during the stress tests. Although LawBreakers received mixed reviews for its fast-paced gameplay and challenging matchmaker in the past, the potential revival of the game through RELB has sparked enthusiasm among fans.
