The Las Vegas Strip is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, heightened by the anticipation of new superstar headliner residencies. When performers of legendary status grace the stage, such as U2, Dead & Company, and The Eagles at Sphere Las Vegas, tickets typically sell out swiftly. Similarly, Adele’s 100-show residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace experienced high demand.
The allure of these performances remains strong until the final curtain falls on a residency. While several popular engagements are nearing their conclusion, some will make a return. A series of country music residencies are also concluding within a few months of one another.
Country music star Carrie Underwood recently completed her “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” at the Resorts World Theater at Resorts World Las Vegas, ending with her final performances on April 12 after a total of 71 shows. Another prominent country artist, Brad Paisley, will be ending his “One Man Six Strings” residency at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas following two additional performances on May 9 and 10, 2025.
Meanwhile, Kenny Chesney is set to bring his “full-tilt brand of American music” to Sphere Las Vegas for his first country residency. His show will span 15 performances, commencing in May and concluding in June 2025.
Rock bands are also a major draw for residencies on the Las Vegas Strip. The B-52s, known as “The World’s Greatest Party Band,” inaugurated their Love Shack residency with three performances in October 2022. This residency continued into 2023, with shows in May, August, and September. The band has scheduled further shows for April 2024 and April 2025, although ticket sales have been sluggish for future dates.
The B-52s are now preparing to conclude their Love Shack residency at the Venetian Theater at The Venetian Las Vegas. The residency will end with two final shows on April 18-19, following the cancellation of their April 16 performance due to singer Cindy Wilson’s illness.
Despite the cancellation, the band’s last two shows are expected to proceed as scheduled. The band shared on Facebook that Wilson, affected by a severe flu, was advised by her doctor to rest, leading to the cancellation of the April 16 show. The band’s frontman, Fred Schneider, and singer Kate Pierson expressed their apologies to fans for the unforeseen change, emphasizing the importance of Wilson’s health.
Ticketholders for the canceled show will receive emails from Ticketmaster regarding refunds or can contact their point of purchase for more details. An assessment of ticket availability for the April 18 and 19 shows indicates that there are still numerous seats available across all sections, with almost half the seats unclaimed for the final performance.
