During the panel, co-creator Dan Harmon stated that the show is expected to run until at least 2029, and the entire panel, including the cast, referenced a popular quote from the show, expressing hopes for its continuation over a much longer period. Season eight is anticipated to be released sometime in 2025, with Adult Swim providing an early look through an animatic. In this preview, Rick and Morty, voiced by Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden, encounter a cryo-ship in deep space, leading to ensuing chaos driven by curiosity and Rick’s greed.
The main cast will also include Chris Parnell as Jerry, Sarah Chalke as Beth, and Spencer Grammer as Summer. In a statement reported by Deadline, Dan Harmon and executive producer Scott Marder conveyed their enthusiasm for the show’s continuation. Harmon emphasized the desire to keep “Rick and Morty” in the universe, remarking on the infinite possibilities for the series.
