Apple has introduced a set of new tools to its Apple Business Connect program, which could prove beneficial for everyday consumers. The key update is the introduction of Business Caller ID. Slated for rollout next year, this feature will allow businesses of any size to register their name, logo, and department to be displayed when making calls to customers. This aims to help individuals differentiate legitimate business calls from spam.
Apple Business Connect provides companies with enhanced control over their appearance within Apple’s various apps. In 2023, Apple offered businesses the ability to customize their listings in apps such as Maps, Messages, Siri, and Wallet. The recent updates extend Business Connect branding tools to all companies, including those without physical storefronts. In addition to the future introduction of Business Caller ID, the program will integrate brand information within the Mail and Phone apps. Participating companies will also have the opportunity to include their logo in the Tap to Pay feature for contactless payments.
