Pokémon Go players excited for new “Perfect” Berry Garden concept

Published on

Pokemon Go players were left amazed by a fan’s concept for a Berry Garden feature, which many praised as “perfect” for the popular mobile game. While Pokemon Go has incorporated numerous features from the mainline series of games, the ability to plant and grow berries through the use of bushes has not yet made its way to the mobile version. Berries are a valuable resource in the game, but players currently cannot grow their own.

The concept for the Berry Garden feature was shared by a user named gameheros on TheSilphRoad subreddit, who detailed the mechanics and functionality of the feature through twelve accompanying images. According to the concept, the Berry Gardens would operate similarly to Gyms, be scattered across the map, and open to all players. Players would contribute berries to specific bushes to grow more powerful versions of that type, as well as host Water-type Pokemon at the Garden to help the bushes grow faster. Fans expressed enthusiasm for the idea and interest in seeing more points of interest on the in-game map.

Some players noted the similarity of the concept to a mechanic in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which was also developed by Niantic. They pointed out that the mechanic worked well in the Harry Potter game and suggested that the development team for Pokemon Go could potentially take notes from that experience. The concept also outlined ways to streamline Bag Storage, introduce new berries, and more, based on the positive community reception of the idea.
